After a debut at the 15th Annual New York International Fringe Festival, The Downtown Urban Theater Festival will present the dramatic stageplay Sammy Gets Mugged! by award-winning writer Dan Heching. The cast includes Broadway star Stephanie Pope Caffey, Fringe Award-winner Patrick Byas (both reprising their roles), and Taylor Myers. The performance will take place on March 29th at the HERE Arts Center.

Loosely based on a real mugging in Paris in the spring of 2005, the show recounts an antagonistic exchange between two strangers, all the wild possibilities that follow, and how we choose to remember the more unsavory moments in our lives. The show invites urban dwellers, theater enthusiasts and their friends to witness a city mugging through the eyes of a born-and-raised city kid who is anything but your classic victim.

The show takes place at HERE, 145 6th Avenue (entrance on Dominick Street) on Thursday, March 29th at 8:30 PM. Tickets for Sammy Gets Mugged! are on sale now https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe/9638715 or by calling (212) 352-3101.
