Blue Man Group took guests by surprise when they interrupted Astor Place & Village Alliance's Astor Blaster Silent Disco to dance with attendees for one song on June 9, 2017.

At 10 p.m., dancers were asked to tune their headsets to a certain channel to dance with the Blue Men, who mingled throughout the crowd. Upon doing so, their headsets also lit up blue during the energizing song.

The complimentary Silent Disco featured three live DJ's at the iconic Astor Place "Cube," an Alamo sculpture that turns 50 this year. Guests were each given headsets to tune in and dance to each DJ's mix, as well as the option of simply dancing to their own music or Astor Blaster playlist via spotify, while enjoying the unique opportunity to revel in the middle of Astor Place.
