J.T. Rogers, playwright of Roundabout Theatre Company's The Overwhelming, will be featured on NY1's "On Stage" this weekend beginning Saturday, November 17 on Channel 1.  J.T. sits down with NY1's Patrick Pacheco to discuss the thought and research that went into his play, set on the eve of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

The Overwhelming, directed by Max Stafford-Clark, is playing a limited engagement through December 23, 2007 at the Laura Pels Theatre (111 West 46th St).

"The Overwhelming is the gripping story of an American family, newly arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, in early 1994, who come face-to-face with the realization that nothing and no one around them is what they understood it to be. Finding themselves embroiled in events beyond their understanding, three Americans struggle to discover who they can trust and what they will do when faced with matters of life and death," explain press notes.

Tickets are available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212)719-1300, online at www.roundabouttheatre.org or at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre box office (111 West 46th Street).   Ticket prices range from $56.25-$66.25.

The Overwhelming will play Tuesday through Saturday evening at 7:30PM with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2PM. www.roundabouttheatre.org
