Join the ReGroup in the 1920's Napa-Valley vineyards!

Middle-aged wine-grower Tony wants to get married and decides to propose by letter to a waitress in San Francisco named Amy who waited on him once. Preceding internet deception by 75 years, he sends her a picture of his good looking young farmhand Joe instead of himself, which creates unforeseen complications in the lives and loves of these three ordinary yet complex people. This classic Theatre Guild production was the basis for Frank Loesser's later hit Broadway musical The Most Happy Fella.

Revived four times on Broadway (most recently in 1976) and a four additional times if you include the musical version this is a true classic that ReGroup Reads is happy to share with you.

Join us on a hot summer night for a cool glass of wine and a refreshing tale of love.

Featuring Alex Carmine, Meghan Ginley, Tim Gilliss, John Lenartz, Rosemary Morgan, Chasen Schneider, Wesli Spencer & Bradley Stryker.

Mr. Howard, playwright of Yellow Jack, The Late Christopher Bean, Dodsworth, and most famously - the screenwriter for Gone With the Wind, was one of the most celebrated writers of his era. Like most ReGroup produced playwrights, his plays are still timely and brilliantly written.
