One Night With Fanny Brice, a new musical play written, arranged, and directed by Chip Deffaa, will make its Off-Broadway debut beginning March 16th at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Avenues). Opening night is set for Sunday, April 3rd at 7PM. Kimberly Faye Greenberg, who originated the role of Fanny in earlier productions, has returned to the role replacing the previously announced Farah Alvin.

One Night With Fanny Brice chronicles Fanny Brice'a rise from rather humble origins to become an internationally popular entertainer and the highest paid American singing comedienne - a Ziegfeld star equally effective whether putting over a broadly comic number or a dramatic torch song. A strong, intuitive, street-smart woman, Fanny Brice's life story provided the inspiration for the musical Funny Girl. One Night With Fanny Brice features many of the songs Brice made famous, including "Rose of Washington Square," "My Man" and "Second Hand Rose." The Off-Broadway production of One Night With Fanny Brice follows highly successful engagements in New Jersey, Virginia, and Connecticut.

Kimberly Faye Greenberg has performed across the United States in national tours, regional theatres, and cabarets. Her credits include Danny and Sylvia: The Danny Kaye Musical and The Vagina Monologues (Off-Broadway), Mary Magdalene in The Passion Play The Musical (Park Theatre, New Jersey), and the Off-Broadway revival of Christmas Rappings by Al Carmines at Theatre at Judson. Kimberly has been featured on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Charmed" and "ER". She was also host for the educational TV Series "Personal Best."

ASCAP Award-winning writer/director Chip Deffaa has written and directed in New York no less than 5 different shows about George M. Cohan - the most recent being George M. Cohan Tonight!, presented Off-Broadway by the Irish Repertory Theater. His other shows include The Johnny Mercer Jamboree, Mad About the Boy, The Family that Sings Together, Song-and-Dance Kids, and Theater Boys. His musical comedy The Seven Little Foys had its world premiere at the Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury, CT, and then had its NY premiere at the Fringe Festival.

Performances will be Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM and 7PM. Tickets are $36.50 and $59.50 and are available through Telecharge.com at 212-239-6200.
