Grace Kiley, award winning actress and playwright, will debut her new work about film legend Grace Kelly directed by Austin Pendleton, as part of the United SoloFest, November 2nd at 9 PM, TheaterROW, 410 West 42nd Street.

Kiley’s one-woman play, Longing for Grace, is a personal look at the life of Hollywood legend turned fairy-tale princess, Grace Kelly. As a guest at her own funeral, the woman once described by Alfred Hitchcock as "a volcano covered with snow," weaves the many facets of her character into a cautionary tale about the danger of abandoning one’s dreams.

In both her writing and performance, Ms. Kiley captures the essence of the legend without resorting to imitation. She looks beneath the glamorous surface of Kelly’s life to create a telling comment on the times in which she lived as well as a reflection on the lives of powerful women in any era. Austin Pendleton directs this poignant look at fame, folly, and a woman undone by her own strength.
