Gilbert Gottfried's THE DIET SHOW Opens 11/20 at STAGE 72
Beginning November 20 at STAGE 72, comedy star Gilbert Gottfried (Disney's Aladdin, The Aristocrats, cast member of Saturday Night Live) will present an open-ended NYC run of the brand new comedy production The Diet Show, which will star past winners, finalists and contestants of the hit NBC TV show The Biggest Loser.
From hysterical and heartfelt monologues to a crowd-pleasing food jingle medley to the marvelous 'magic' of Spanx, in The Diet Show performers share true life inspirational stories, reflecting on their own (often hilarious) accounts with the "Battle of the Bulge." Co-written by Gilbert Gottfried, Sean Pomper and Karen Katz, it will have an open ended run at STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street) with the first show on Tuesday, 11/20 at 7pm and performances currently scheduled into March, 2013. Sean Pomper will also serve as director and all audience members will be given a free 7-day pass to Anytime Fitness.
The cast will feature Erik Chopin (Winner of The Biggest Loser Season 3), Bill Germanakos (Winner of The Biggest Loser Season 4) and his brother Jim Germanakos (also a contestant on Season 4), Tara Costa (a finalist on Season 7), Alfredo Dinten (a finalist on Season 10), Suzanne Mendonca (a contestant on Season 4), Nicole Michalic (a contestant on Season 4), Amanda Arlauskas (a contestant on Season 8), Mark Pinhasovich (a contestant on Season 10), as well as comedian Key Fitz and plus-size model Krista Mays.
