Film and television star David Butler has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME, in the role of W. Harrison Brent. He began performing in the role on July 27, doing a guest appearance for one month.

Mr. Butler is an alumna of PERFECT CRIME, having played the role of W. Harrison Brent for many years over the past two decades.

PERFECT CRIME is the Off-Broadway 'whodunit' that New York Magazine calls "a true New York murder mystery" and the New York Times calls "a crackling thriller" and recently celebrated a record breaking 11,000 performances - continuing its record as the longest running play in NYC history.

The perfect show for Law & Order and CSI fans, PERFECT CRIME is a funny, romantic thriller about a psychiatrist who has apparently killed her rich husband (until he shows up very much alive); the sexy Columbo-like detective who is trying to solve the supposed murder while falling in love with the primary suspect and the psychiatrist's charming but crazy patient who has killed a few people himself. There are Agatha Christie - like twists and turns in the plot and there's an "answer key" for audience members to review after the show if they are still trying to figure out what happened and how.

PERFECT CRIME also features Catherine Russell, who has starred in the show since its first performance and has never taken a sick day or vacation day in the past 28 years. It's a feat that has landed her in the Guinness Book of World Records. Russell's incredible streak has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, The Today Show, Good Morning America and in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Daily News and numerous other media outlets including The Associated Press and People, which dubbed her "The Cal Ripken of Broadway".

The cast of PERFECT CRIME also includes Richard Shoberg (Tom Cudahy, All My Children 25 years), Hugh Hysell and Patrick Robustelli (a well known Broadway restaurant owner making an on-video cameo); Perfect Crime is directed by Jeffrey Hyatt.

Tickets for PERFECT CRIME are available by calling the box office at (212) 921-7862 or online at www.Ticketmaster.com. Student rush tickets ($26) are also available by calling or visiting the box office.

Perfect Crime plays at The Anne L. Bernstein in The Theater Center at 210 West 50th Street on the corner of 50th Street and Broadway.
