The third and final installment in the Bridge Project collaboration between the Brooklyn Academy Of Music (BAM), London's Old Vic Theater, and Sam Mendes's Neal Street Productions has been postponed until 2012 due to "scheduling issues," Bridge Project press representative Jackie Green told the New York Times

Mendes is to direct a new musical, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, in 2011 and KING LEAR at London's Royal National Theatre in 2012.

In the project's inaugural installment in 2009, Mendes directed productions of THE WINTER'S TALE and THE CHERRY ORCHARD (featuring the same cast).  The productions premiered at BAM and then toured in Britain, Singapore, New Zealand, Spain, Germany and Greece.

The 2010 installment featured Mendes-directed productions of AS YOU LIKE IT and THE TEMPEST, which premiered at BAM and are currently playing at the Old Vic.
