Four actors. Multiple couples. Multiple stories. One supermarket. Royal Family Production's World Premiere of John Cariani's LOVE / SICK, directed by Chris Henry with movement by JoAnn M Hunter, original music and lyrics by Bart Kuebler, Chris Henry, and Lars Jacobsen with arrangements by Bart Kuebler, is a fun night for anyone who has ever been in love.

Cariani, along with Simone Harrison, Dee Roscioli, and Debargo Sanyal, play a series of couples overcoming a series of obstacles in love and life at different stages, becoming one big love story, played out. It's fun, it's comfortable, it's for some reason very important that you remember the store- possibly too blatant a comment on love in a modern era?- it's quirky and cute, but maybe could have a bit of a faster pace- in a modern era, one can grow weary of fast-paced awkward patter. The show also features dancers Jenn Aédo, Rachel Geisler, Stephanie Israelson, Jolina Javier, and Schuyler Midgett, again as an increasingly hash reminder of this "Super Center", in very frequent melodic jingles/scene changes. Interesting(?) choice... Once they are forgotten, however, there's a pretty nice show.

The Royal Family Performing Arts Space is located at 145 West 46th Street , 3rd Floor. Performances play Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 6:30PM; Sunday & Monday at 7PM. No show February 7 and February 10; added show Monday, February 9. Running time is 90 minutes. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased by visiting royalfamilyproductions.org
