Rivertown Theaters to Present PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL, 4/4-13
Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts will offer the delightful Pinkalicious The Musical for the younger set just before Easter in the Lagniappe Theater.
This is the tale, based on the popular book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann of Pinkalicious, who can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this pink predicament. PINKALICOUS THE MUSICAL is about learning the power of self-control and the importance of moderation.
The cast of Pinkalicious the Musical features Tess Fouchi (Pinkalicious), Christian Collins (Peter), Shelbie Mac (Mrs. Pinkerton), Darren Hayes (Mr. Pinkerton), Julia Kuchler (Alison), and Brittany James (Dr. Wink).
The crew includes Gary Rucker (director), Kathy Riess (stage manager), Michelle Macicek (choreographer), Elise Harvey (musical director), Scott Sauber (set and lighting design), Kate Jensen (costume design), Shelbie Mac (props), Brooklyn Schaeffer (wigs), Eric Porter (technical director), and Clint Boneau (house manager).
Pinkalicious the Musical will run Fridays April 4 and 11 at 7:30 pm, Saturdays April 5 and 12 at 7:30 pm, and Sundays April 6 and 13 at 2:00 pm. Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts kicked off its inaugural "BROADWAY SERIES AT RIVERTOWN" SCHEDULE FOR THE 2012-2013 SEASON with a new name, a new management company, Theatre 13, and new artistic directors, Gary Rucker and Kelly Fouchi. The mission of Theatre 13 is to bring new and exciting productions to the New Orleans area while providing localtheatre artists an opportunity to perform and create.
