The Community Chest Announces 2014-2015 Grant Recipients

The Board of Managers of The Community Chest has announced the recipients of its 2014-2015 grant awards. Chosen after careful review by its Allocations Committee, 21 agencies, serving residents of Englewood, Tenafly and Englewood Cliffs, have been granted funds for a variety of programs.

For the fourth year in a row, the Community Chest has awarded an Impact Grant, a one year grant intended to provide a new or improved service to our local community. This year's recipient is Shelter Our Sisters, who will deliver a Domestic Violence Prevention Program in Englewood, Tenafly and Englewood Cliffs, working through local religious and civic groups, public and private schools as well as nonprofit organizations. The Community Chest has been providing services in the local community for more than 80 years. In 2013 more than 30,000 local residents benefited from the services funded by The Chest. The Chest is eagerly seeking new volunteers and donors to join its family.
