Follow the yellow brick road over the rainbow to Snug Harbor Music Hall for In The Wings Productions of THE WIZARD OF OZ, for a five-performance run Thursday, April 16 through Sunday, April 19.

THE WIZARD OF OZ is adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company from the 1939 MGM film screenplay based on the novel by L. Frank Baum. The show features the music and lyrics of the MGM Motion Picture score by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg and background music by Herbert Stothart.

In the Wing's production of THE WIZARD OF OZ is directed by Mickey Tennenbaum (Wagner College's SPAMALOT), choreographed byKristen Dalto, with music direction by Michael Pinto.

Leading a cast of 40 Staten Islanders is Nicole Romeo as Dorothy. John Griffin, who's starred in Shrek and Les Miserables for In The Wings, will play Professor Marvel and The Wizard of Oz. The cast also stars Nicole Lauren (Aunt Em/Glinda), James McKeon (Uncle Henry/Guard!), Mimi McCann (Elmira Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West), Craig Kwasnicki (Hunk/Scarecrow), Phil Buccigrossi(Zeke/Cowardly Lion, and Anthony Massa (Hickory/Tinman).

The Citizens of Munchkinland are Angelina Cantone, Vanessa D'Angelo, Giada Garaffa, Bethany Griffin, Grayson Kelly, Serafina Matarazzo, Michael Negin, Alexis Paolino, John Pitera, Nicholette Pluchino, Carly Racioppi, VJ Scarpaci, Lucy Schnall, Dominique Shipp,Courtney Sinodinos, Isabella Stein, Robert Terzino-Torres, and Gwendolyn Williams.

The Ensemble features Amanda Rose Benjamin, Emily Bodkin, Rachel Calabrese, Joey Carramanno, Alison DeGregorio, Fiona Gannon,Samantha Hermansen, Nicole Hermansen, Anthony Lombardo, Kayla McBratney, Juliana Pitera, Courtney Sinodinos, Carly Racioppi,Mackenzie Ricca, Marissa Terzino

The creative team includes Andre Boulay (Scenic Design), Scaramouche (Costumes), Tiffany Rau (Lighting Design), Adam Chatfield(Sound Design), Rebecca Scianameo (Child Wrangler/Production Assistant), and Lisa Migliorisi (Production Stage Manager). THE WIZARD OF OZ is produced for In The Wings Productions by Adam and Tanya Glassman.

There truly is no place like home as THE WIZARD OF OZ, the greatest family musical of all time, lands on the stage of Snug Harbor Music Hall. You will be swept away by our celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the iconic 1939 MGM film. The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tinman and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring magical special effects, dazzling choreography and the classic songs you love, including "Over the Rainbow," "If I Only Had a Brain," "We're Off to See the Wizard," and more.

The Music Hall is located on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center (1100 Richmond Terrace). Performances are Thursday at 7:00pm, Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm, Matinees are Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets: $30-25.
