Staged Reading Of ON THE WATERFRONT Comes To Hoboken 7/28 & 7/29

New Artists Theater Company and the city of Hoboken present a staged reading of ON THE WATERFRONT, written by Budd Schulberg and produced by Nick Puccio and the Hudson Film Group. The staged reading will be presented Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 7pm in Frank Sinatra Park between 4th and 5th Street in Hoboken, NJ, and features cast members from The Sopranos, Oz, and Brotherhood.

The reading will be directed by Frank Licato and features Jason Cerbone, Robin Paul, Vincent Pastore, Robert Funaro, Arthur Nascarella, Al Sapienza, Joe Dandry, Louis Vanaria, Garry Pastore, Ernest Mingione, George Palermo, Nick Puccio, James Villani, Anthony Rubistello, James Georgiades, Giuseppe Penasso, Dan Pona, Paul Vario, Danny Provenzano, Giancarlo Mariutto, and James Edward Becton. The 1954 film "On the Waterfront" was directed by Elia Kazan & written by Budd Schulberg. It starred Marlon Brando, Eva Marie Saint, Rod Steiger, Karl Malden & Lee J Cobb., based on a series of articles written by the New York Sun's, Malcolm Johnson & won eight academy awards including, best picture, best actor & best director. "On the Waterfront" follows Terry Malloy, who dreams about being a prize fighter, in Brooklyn in the 1950s.
