Jersey City Children's Theater is proud to announce their new show The Brave Little Tailor and Other Magical Myths. The company's 10th production marks the end of JCCT's third season performing for and teaching classes to more than 13,000 members of the Jersey City Community since they opened in March 2011.

The Brave Little Tailor and Other Magical Myths will feature original Story Theater adaptations of "Sweet Porridge", "The Baker's Dozen", "The Brave Little Tailor", "Clever Gretel", and "The Golden Goose". Join the fun with our company of professional adult actors as they manage mischief, outwit obstacles, and give generously in the spirit of the holidays. As is always the case with JCCT productions, a post-performance interactive story theater workshop will be offered where young audience members are invited to act out and re-imagine parts of the show with the cast. JCCT is committed to providing high quality professional theater to the community, as well as theater instruction for all ages, in a fun, creative and educationally enriching environment.

Jersey City Children's Theater is also committed to making the arts accessible to youth and families regardless of financial means, and to that end is working in partnership with the Jersey City Board of Education, donating 100 tickets for The Brave Little Tailor to underserved families throughout the city.

Says Kathy Hendrickson, Artistic Director of Jersey City Children's Theater: "It has been so fun to dig through these stories of giving and community at a time when so much focus is on our changing community here in Jersey City. Stories like Sweet Porridge and Clever Gretel are stories that we have wanted to do from the very beginning of the company, they just did not fit in any other show, until now. The Brave Little Tailor and all the stories are filled with the colors and tastes and smells and sounds of the season: perfect for celebrating this great city and its citizens young and old. It has been a blessed three and a half years serving Jersey City, and we are so fortunate to work with so many foundations and community partners to better serve the community. Our heart is filled with gratitude and I hope this show reflects our profound thanks."
