On Friday, October 15, at 8:00p.m., there will be an American Sign Language Interpretation of "Berkeley Square" produced by the award winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company.

"Berkeley Square" is an exciting, timeless time-travel adventure written by John L. Balderston who wrote the first successful adaptation of "Dracula" for the stage and such films as "Frankenstein," "The Mummy," and "Gaslight." His seldom produced "Berkeley Square" at ELTC with its lush 1784 period costumes and its talented cast of ten has been praised by newspapers and audiences alike.
The theatrical ASL interpreters are Kathy Filippo and Gina Lanza, who have performed many times for ELTC. The process involves them seeing the production at least once, plus going over the script several times to figure out who will interpret which roles, and in many cases, come up with signage for unusual names and words.

Tickets are $28 general admission; $23 for seniors and those with disabilities and their
support companions; and $13 for full-time students. Children ages 12 and under are always
free. The location is The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes St., Cape May, where the company is in residence. "Berkeley Square" runs every Wednesday through Saturday through October 23 only; except there is no show on Wednesday October 6 and an added show on Sunday, October 10 at 7:30p.m. For information and reservations, call 609-884-5898 or visit www.eastlynnetheater.org. To make a reservation using a credit card, call 866-280-9211.

Meanwhile, "Helpful Hints" is tickling audiences every Sunday and Monday through October 18 at The Mad Batter, and "A Tribute to Twain" is on Monday, October 11 at The First Presbyterian Church.

This special ASL performance of "Berkeley Square" would not be possible without the help of Sturdy Savings Bank, and special show sponsor The Henry Sawyer Inn and the generosity of many patrons.
