BCCT to Present WILLY WONKA at Historic Strand Theater, 8/8-10

Come get your Golden Tickets and savor the delectable tale of a famous chocolate maker's journey to find an heir to his vast factory and fortune! Share in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Roald Dahl's timeless classic "Willy Wonka" on stage, presented by BCCT at the Historic Strand Center for the Arts in Lakewood, NJ. The show runs this weekend--August 8, 9 and 10--with performances at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and two matinee shows at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

See the story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir, with colorful characters artfully depicted by young BCCT actors Brian Logsdon as Willy Wonka; Vincenzo Faruolo as Charlie Bucket;Dominik Faruolo as Grandpa Joe; Liam Mailley as Augustus Gloop; Sydney Burton as Veruca Salt;Megan Brown as Violet Beauregard; and Lukas Netelkos as Mike Teavee.

The very talented cast of characters and the loveable Ooompa Loompas will have you amazed with their playful songs and dance moves. Augustus Gloop is dreadful, eating so much chocolate and getting sucked up into the chocolate tube! Watch Violet Beauregard turn purple with her incessant gum chewing and Veruca Salt throw temper tantrums on stage! Mike Teavee will only stop watching TV long enough to transmit himself on Wonkavision. Come fly with Charlie and Grandpa Joe when they steal a sip of Fizzy Lifting Drink and almost float into the ceiling fan! You will be laughing with them as they burp their way down to safety. And of course the Grand Master of the whole scheme, Willy Wonka, will lead you all on a journey into your imaginations, while he serenades the audience with his much loved Oompa Loompa workers.

BCCT will be selling chocolate Wonka Bars, with their own Golden Tickets! Come watch a sweet show while having a Golden Ticket hunt of your own.
