Amanda Dunsdon leads Breaking Through The Box Theatre Company's production of "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani for a one weekend run beginning February 10th. Amanda is a native of Ellicott City, Maryland and recent graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, and currently resides in Bound Brook, NJ.

In "Almost, Maine", Amanda is triple- cast as Hope, Sandrine, and Ginette. Ginette is a young girl discovering the new feelings of love; Sandrine is trying to change her future till she come face to face with her past baggage; Hope is a lost wander who is yearning for her place in this world. "I relate most to Hope in the idea that she has left her home in search for something more, but is still struggling to find exactly what she is looking for," says Amanda as she currently embarks on establishing a career in New Jersey and the Big Apple. "I connect to the fact that she wears her heart on her sleeve and is willing to make a trip to find the love of her life and get him back. Ironically, she is the most grounded character for me and easiest to connect to. She has a lot of determination, drive and dedication to the one thing she loves."

Love can strike anyone anywhere, and the small rural town of "Almost, Maine" is no exception. Just as the northern lights in Almost are stunning and unpredictable, so are love and it's after effects. This show by John Cariani follows nine everyday couples as they navigate the joy and terror of falling into- and out of- love. Featured in the cast are Joe Piserchio, Lisa Sims, Amanda Dunsdon, Darin Frank Earl II, Juliana Long, and Dylan Evans. The show is directed by Liz Carlln, and will be presented at the Open Arts stage in Bordertown, NJ.

Performances will begin February 10th at 7pm, February 11th at 2pm, and 7pm, with the run concluding on February 12th at 2pm. Tickets are $25 and are available at the door and online. Student and senior discount tickets are available for $15.

Breaking Through The Box was founded in Summer 2016 with the goal of being a forum for new work to cultivate, as well as a way for old work to be given a new life. "It's very exciting to be a part of something that has so much future potential," explains Amanda on being cast in Breaking Through the Box's inaugural season. "It's always special to be the part of something new, with new works and young minds trying to create our own work in this crazy theater world."
