The Residentie Orchestra receives Jan Willem de Vriend, the Dutch Beethoven-specialist of this moment, for a program with purely works of Beethoven. Radiant centerpiece is his fifth and last piano concerto, which is characterized by powerful melodies and a heroic style.

Soloist is the Russian master pianist Alexander Melnikov who in 2007 very successful made his debut with the Residentie Orchestra. After the break gives Jan Willem de Vriend his vision of Beethoven's fourth Symphony. This concert is made possible by DUX International.
