The Center for the Arts Opens Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL Tonight

The Center for the Arts located at the corner of Church and College streets off of the square in Murfreesboro is proud to introduce HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.

It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations, and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock Troy discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical, led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well. High School Musical is generously sponsored by Dr. Roy Thompson, Comprehensive Family Dentistry. Gift packs from Dr. Thompson will be distributed to select audience members at each performance.

Performance times are today, August 15-31, Friday-Sundays. Evening shows are on Friday and Saturdays at 7:30pm. Sunday matinees are at 2:00pm. Tickets are available online at, at the Center's box office located at 110 W. College Street, or by calling 615.904.2787. Tickets prices are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors/students/military, and $11 for children. A discount of $2 per ticket is applied to groups of 10 or more.
