Theater folk from throughout Tennessee gathered at Nashville's Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater on Sunday night for Midwinter's First Night, which included the presentation of the BroadwayWorld Nashville Awards, recognizing performers and productions brought to the stage between October 2013 and September 2014.

Hosted by Jeffrey Ellis, who covers theater, opera and dance for BroadwayWorld Nashville and who has reported on Tennessee theater for more than 30 years, the event included the first-ever "Miss 'Cathy from The Last Five Years' Pageant," which featured seven contestants vying for the title and performing "Still Hurting" from the Jason Robert Brown score.
