4Leaf Music Productions in association with Golden Performing Arts Center proudly presents "Merrily We Roll Along", Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's thrilling and compelling cautionary tale about friendship, compromise and the high price of success. The story begins in the present and moves backwards, tracing the lives of wealthy, jaded composer, Franklin Shepard, and his two estranged friends, Charley Kringas and Mary Flynn, through each milestone of their personal and professional lives. Merrily We Roll Along crackles with the wit, humor and intensity that embody the spirit of New York City. With a brilliant "Broadway-style" score and that deep insight one expects from any Sondheim endeavor. (Edited story background courtesy of MTI International.)
This fully orchestrated production features Tori Gresham (Mary Flynn) courtesy of AEA, and some of LA's finest young talent including Texas State MT graduate Trevor James Berger (Franklin Shepard), NYU Acting graduate Jeremy Ethan Harris (Charley Kringas), Renee Cohen (Gussie Carnegie), Sarah Ryan (Beth Spencer) and Brian Felker (Joe Josephson). The ensemble features Logan Allison, Taylor Bass, Riley Boronkay, Aaron Camitses, Donna Kim, Ashley Knaack, Josiah Lucus, Shaunte Nickels, Chris Thume, and Vince Venia.
At the helm of our creative team is Sonny James Lira (director) with Jan Roper (musical director), Effy Yang (scenic/projection design), Zachary Titterington (lighting design), Michael Mullen (costume design), Jeff Resnick (sound engineer), and Mani Kham (stage manager).
