“Celebrating new ideas from our deep bench of talented EST/LA playwrights, directors, and actors, we offer outstanding entertainment in this festival. Ranging from funny to gripping, wild to serene, and reflective to provocative” – Roderick Menzies; Co-Artistic Director

EST/LA Playwrights Unit nurtures the development of new plays by theater professionals and is a gateway to other development programs at EST/LA. Current member playwrights are NYFA, NEA, Guggenheim, Obie, Emmy and Writers Guild Award winners.
