needtheater is currently in rehearsal for Glint, a world premiere adaptation of the late David Foster Wallace's heart-wrenching short story "Good Old Neon". The 70 minute one-man play will be performed at the second annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. A starkly eloquent journey into the mind of a man after his own suicide, Glint offers audiences a first-hand look beyond the grave while displaying the verbal dexterity and stunning insight that have made Wallace a modern-day, literary icon.

Darkly comedic, Wallace's captivating, melodic prose are adapted and delivered by Ian Forester, award-winning director, actor, and artistic director. Glint is directed by Adam J. Smith.

Producer Jillian Wahlquist says, "True to the original story, this play amazed me with its simple, bold energy and captivated me with its eerie truthfulness. We are very grateful to the Wallace estate for allowing us to bring this amazing work to the stage."

Glint will be performed Wednesday, June 15 at 8:00pm at The Lounge Theater, Sunday, June 19 5:00pm and 9:00pm at the Actor's Circle Theater, and Monday, June 20, at 9:00pm at The Lounge Theater. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door or online through www.needtheater.org.
