Long Island-based fiber artist Alicia Evans with "Purple Reign Tree" - one of the 25 pieces presented during the opening reception earlier this month for her "Tree-Mendous! Art Exhibit Affair" - now on display through November 30th at the Uniondale Public Library (400 Uniondale Avenue) in Nassau County, NY.

"The show's theme of trees culminates a Tree-Mendous breakthrough in seeing life from another perspective," says Ms. Evans whose work has been featured in art exhibitions at City College of New York, in art galleries and museums.

"Nature comes alive in brilliant colors with green, red, yellow, purple trees and more. It's a divine exhibit that's sure to inspire," she adds.

Ms. Evans also offers tours of her work on weekends. Also, a youth workshop is available associated with her work entitled "The Art in You" for elementary school students. The workshop will be available through Spring, 2017.

For UPL hours, directions and additional information, contact the library's Adult Reference Department at: (516) 489-2220 x. 204 or adultserv@uniondalelibrary.org or connect with Ms. Evans at her studio: 516 377 6146 or on Instagram @aliciafiberarts.

The "Purple Reign Tree" pays tribute to Prince highlighting a silhouette of the legendary artist with a tree bark reflective of his iconic symbol.
