The Jerusalem Theatre Presents THE TRUTH, running at the Beit Lessin Theatre, April 15 and 16, 2014.
A sophisticated relationship comedy by Florian Zeller
Translated by Dori Parnas, directed by Moshe Kepten, music by Adi Cohen
Alice is having moral qualms: should she put an end her secret affair with Michel? She asks him to reveal the "truth" to his wife, Laurence, because otherwise - she'll tell it to her husband Paul, Michel's good friend. But Michel prefers to enjoy the best of both worlds, but how surprised he is to discover that while he was having an affair with Alice, Laurence was having one with Paul! Is this "the truth"? Michel becomes frightened, angry, loses his head - he runs to his wife to find out the "truth" and to confess, only to discover that the "truth" about his own infidelity was tricked out of him. To reveal or not to reveal? That is the question! Is it better to tell your partner about your infidelity or to protect them?
