Stages Repertory Theatre presents Gregg Coffin's Five Course Love, a delicious twist on the tried-and-true dinner date showcasing three actors playing a host of over-the-top characters whose hearts are hungry for love. Spotlighting five dates in five different restaurants, the musical parody pokes gentle fun at an array of cultural traditions and musical styles, serving up a fast-paced feast of clever lyrics, catchy tunes and lots of laughs. Five Course Love is directed by Mitchell Greco, Artistic Associate for Stages, whose directing credits include The Honky Tonk Angels series, Xanadu, Big Fish, and co-directing Shear Madness.

The five restaurants featured in Five Course Love-Dean's Old-Fashioned All-American Down-Home Bar-B-Que Texas Eats, Trattoria Pericolo, Ernesto's Cantina, Der Schlumpfwinkel Speiseplatz, and the Star-Lite Diner-set the stage for an array of characters in awkward, compromising, hilarious and heartwarming situations. Hailed as "lots of laughs!" by The New York Times, and "artfully silly and genuinely funny... hilarious and imaginative" by The Associated Press, Five Course Love had its World Premiere at the Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, NY, in 2005, and its Off-Broadway Premiere at Minetta Lane Theatre in 2015. Previously produced by Stages in 2006, Five Course Love became one of the theatre's best-selling productions up to that time, and was one of the first regional productions following the original New York run.

Five Course Love stars three actors who began their professional careers at Stages as part of the organization's long-standing partnership with the Sam Houston State University Department of Theatre and Dance: Chelsea Ryan McCurdy (The Honky Tonk Angels series, The Marvelous Wonderettes series, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Panto Cinderella), Mark Ivy (Shear Madness, Life Could Be a Dream, Rabbit Hole), and Dylan Godwin (Life Could Be a Dream, Altar Boyz). The creative team includes Jodi Bobrovsky, Properties Designer; Christina R. Giannelli, Lighting Designer; Kirk Domer, Scenic Designer; Macy Lyne, Costumer Designer; Joel Burkholder, Sound Designer; and Sara Brossman Hodgin, Production Stage Manager.

In partnership with Cordúa Restaurants and Executive Chef David Cordúa, Stages will offer "Dinner and a Show" packages that include a ticket to Five Course Love or My Mañana Comes (running February 15 - March 5) along with a choice of a three- or four-course meal at Américas River Oaks.
