Tonight, August 31, the acclaimed singing group THE Midtown Men begin a three night run with the Houston Symphony. This marks the premiere of the symphonic version of the act's 2012/2013 "Sixties Hits" tour, which kicked off August 18th in Asbury Park.

The Midtown Men will now feature an 85-piece symphony under the direction of accomplished conductor Michael Krajewski for three nights over Labor Day weekend. The performance will feature classic hits from the 1960s rock n' roll scene including "California Dreamin'," "Happy Together, "Up on the Roof," "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and many more.

The special guest arranger for these shows is Grammy and Emmy award-winner John McDaniel. McDaniel is the renowned music director and arranger whose credits include the Tony Awards, Broadway productions of Grease and Chicago, and countless concert appearances with Cab Calloway, Shirley McLaine, Tyne Daly and other luminaries.

This evening of iconic songs was also orchestrated by composer/pianist George Maurer. Maurer has arranged for artists such as Buddy Holly's Crickets, Bobby Vee, Eric Clapton, as well as for the Minnesota Orchestra.

THE Midtown Men are Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer who took Broadway by storm in the Original Cast of Jersey Boys. They are taking their sensational sound on the road once more, bringing to life their favorite "Sixties Hits" from The Beatles, The Turtles, The Mamas and the Papas, Motown, The Four Seasons and more.
