Elf -The Musical, a Broadway touring production of a modern-day Christmas classic, is perfect family entertainment for all ages. Based on the 2003 motion picture of the same name, with a score by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, Elf features Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the fact that he is actually not an elf, but a human! With Santa's permission, the little boy embarks on a journey to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. The perfect musical for your inner elf!

Sponsored locally by the Lyda Kempner Quinn Fund for the Performing Arts, Blue Bell Ice Cream, and the Houston Chronicle, Elf - The Musical is part of the Galveston Island Winter Wonder Island event series. For ticket prices and more information call The Grand's box office at 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or visit The Grand's web site at www.thegrand.com. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Grand 1894 Opera House is located at 2020 Postoffice Street in Galveston's historic downtown Cultural Arts District and is recognized as "The Official Opera House of the State of Texas."
