Puzzle Piece Theatre invites audiences to Ferndale February 3 - 19 for Lanford Wilson's Lemon Sky. A piercing headache grips Alan (Jeffrey Miller) as he steps off the bus from Nebraska to San Diego. He squints through the pain to see a man in a white sportcoat waiting for him. His father, Douglas (Sergio Mautone) - the man he hasn't seen in 12 years.

Director Laura Heikkinen takes us to 1970s California as Alan looks back on the six months he spent fresh out of high school, with his estranged father's family.

As Alan navigates life with his new stepmother, Ronnie (Paige Vanzo), and two younger siblings (Gus and Analise Schroeder), he also has to share space with two teen boarders, wards of the state, Carol (Allison Megroet) and Penny (Maggie Beson); each with their own set of baggage.

Ronnie quickly warns Alan to keep his distance from Carol, but will he listen? And what will be revealed as Alan peeks behind the curtain of this carefully constructed suburban family?

"This show is an old favorite of mine." Said Heikenen, "It's amazing the lengths we'll go to in the name of love, and what we'll do for - or to family when we know we're right. I'm looking forward to sharing this one with audiences!"

Lemon Sky opens February 3 and runs through the 19th with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, and Sunday afternoons at 2pm. All performances take place at the Slipstream Theater, where Puzzle Piece is in residence, 460 Hilton in Ferndale, MI 48220. Tickets are $20, by advanced reservation, and can be purchased at www.puzzlestage.org
