The Dio - Dining & Entertainment is excited to announce their 2017 theatre season which includes two plays and three musicals! 2017 will mark The Dio's fourth full year presenting theatrical productions in Livingston County.

Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon, February 2 through March 5.

Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie's loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong, does.

The Bridges of Madison County, music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, book by Marsha Norman, April 6 to May 21.

Based on the best-selling novel, and developed by the Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning creative team of Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Parade, Songs for a New World) and Marsha Norman, The Bridges of Madison County captures the lyrical expanse of America's heartland along with the yearning entangled in the eternal question" "What if...?" Winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Score and Orchestrations, this sweeping romance about the roads we travel, the doors we open and the bridges we dare to cross will leave audiences breathless.

Tuck Everlasting, music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen, book by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, June 15 to July 23.

Eleven year old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but it's not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck's unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey.

The Great American Trailer Park Musical, music and lyrics by David Nehls, book by Betsy Kelso, August 24 to October 8.

There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres-and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil-loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband-the storms begin to brew. This wheel-spinning, mud-splattering good time of a show is the theatrical equivalent of a bag of Doritos. You can't get enough.

Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol by Tom Mula, November 24 through December 31.

"Marley was dead, to begin with..."-and what happens to Ebenezer Scrooge's mean, sour, pruney old business partner after that? Chained and shackled, Marley is condemned to a hellish eternity. He's even given his own private tormentor: a malicious little hell-sprite who thoroughly enjoys his work. Desperate, Marley accepts his one chance to free himself: To escape his own chains, he must first redeem Scrooge. So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, during which Scrooge's heart, indeed, is opened; but not before Marley-in this irreverent, funny and deeply moving story-discovers his own.
