Join a team of talented teenagers for Lord of the Flies staged scene work, 7:00 PM, tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the upper lobby at the Des Moines Community Playhouse. Admission is free.

For the past six months, a group of dedicated youths ages 13-17, calling themselves Adolescent Anarchy, have been adapting William Golding's book, Lord of the Flies, for the stage. Tuesday's program will feature selected scenes performed by the nine teens.

The goal is to have a 100% teenager produced production of Lord of the Flies in late June. Auditions, open to teens 13-17 years old, will be held in May. This showcase will be a great opportunity for actors wanting to audition for the production to get a taste for the show.

Adolescent Anarchy is Tommy Anderson, Sam Bates-Norum, Halen Becker, Connor Bredbeck, Madi Delk, Claire Guderjahn, Elsa Klein, Travis Reinders, and Meredith Toebben. Also participating in Tuesday's reading are Andrew Overton and Daniel Williams.

For more information, contact Kathy Pingel, Playhouse director of education and youth programming, 515-974-5359.
