Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre (RMRT) is pleased to announce that they have been awarded an unrestricTed Grant in the amount of $10,000 from Colorado Creative Industries (CCI), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.

UnrestricTed Grants provide the opportunity to direct spending where it is needed the most. This grant was awarded through CCI's Colorado Creates Program and will support RMRT's mission to stimulate, promote and develop interest in the performing arts in Grand County, Colorado, and the surrounding region through live theatrical production and youth theatre educational workshops.

State grants are awarded through a competitive process. Colorado Creative Industries supports excellence in the arts across the state. "We are honored to be included on the list of recipients for this award", said RMRT's Executive Artistic Director Michael Querio. This grant not only signifies that Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre already provides a high-level of quality in its programs, community service and administrative ability, but with the support from CCI, RMRT has the opportunity to employ professionals in their prospective fields so they can continue to focus on running the strongest and most effective programs possible and also bring RMRT audiences professional, live theatrical performances throughout the summer.

Now celebrating its 49th season, RMRT is a professional theatre located in the rural, mountain community of Grand Lake, Colorado, situated at the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The RMRT company, composed of actors, musicians, designers, and technicians, chosen from 1,200 auditions in four major cities across the country, is known for producing high quality musicals presented in true repertory style. RMRT has become a wildly popular Grand Lake attraction for families and avid theatre-goers alike, and was deemed "Colorado's Premier Summer Musical Company" by theatre critic John Moore of the Denver Post. They have received a Henry Award for "Outstanding Regional Theatre" from the Colorado Theatre Guild in 2014 and company member, Steven E. Sitzman, received the Henry Award for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical" for his work in 2015.

This season RMRT is elated to be performing Disney's The Little Mermaid, Rock of Ages, Titanic: The Musical, and Million Dollar Quartet. Please visit the RMRT website (www.RockyMountainRep.com) or call the Box Office (970-627-3421) for availability of tickets today!
