On the 20th Anniversary of The Garner Galleria Theatre (April 6), Denver Center Attractions announces an eight-week extension of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE. Tickets are now on sale through August 19 at www.denvercenter.org or by calling 303.893.4100.

Denver Center Attractions' successful cabaret model, the brainchild of Denver Center President & Executive Director of Denver Center Attractions, Randy Weeks, began on April 6, 1992 with Forever Plaid. Additional hits followed including: Always…Patsy Cline; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and Girls Only: The Secret Comedy of Women. The Garner Galleria Theatre, a 213 seat theatre, has grossed more than 27.5 million dollars with more than 6,360 performances in the past 20 years.

Always…Patsy Cline made musical theatre history in Denver running 3 ½ years from August 5, 1995-March 28, 1999. It was then surpassed by I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, which opened to rave reviews on June 29, 2000 becoming Denver's longest running musical by 2004. Both productions maintain the record as Denver's top two longest-running musicals with seven or more performances a week.

The new production I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, currently playing at The Garner Galleria Theatre, opened February 17, 2012. Four actors take on the lives of more than 20 characters as they face the trials and tribulations of dealing with the opposite sex. Everything you've secretly wanted to know about dating, mating and marriage but were afraid to ask! Parents who talk baby talk, men who talk and women who pretend to listen, infidelity, and the injustice of long lines at the ladies room are just some of the issues that are hilariously skewed in Joe DiPietro's hugely successful chamber musical.

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is directed by Ray Roderick. This all-new production boasts a local cast including Daniel Langhoff, Robert Michael Sanders, Lauren Shealy and Shannan Steele. It features resident Denver Center Theatre Company designers Lisa Orzolek (scenic design), Charles R. MacLeod (lighting design) and Meghan Anderson Doyle (costume design). This creative team also includes Denverites Max Peterson (sound design) and Troy Schuh (musical direction).

Performance Dates Extended Through August 19:

Tuesday – Sunday 7:30pm
Saturday & Sunday 2pm

The Broadway presenting division of The Denver Center for the Performing Arts was formed when Robert S. Garner joined Robert Garner Center Attractions with the DCPA in 1979. Denver Center Attractions presents the finest touring productions at The Buell Theatre and The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. When Denver Center Attractions presented the regional premiere of The Phantom of the Opera in 1991, more than $40 million was generated into the city's economy, people came from 26 states to see the musical, and only five of approximately 226,400 seats went unsold in the 10-week run. Likewise, the hugely successful 2007 pre-Broadway engagement of Disney's The Little Mermaid sold out nearly every seat. Add to that the selling power of shows like Riverdance that sell out in five days, and it's obvious that Denver is a hot spot for theatre and musicals. Based on this successful track record, DCA has been selected to launch the national tours of Sunset Boulevard, Christopher Plummer in Barrymore, Carol Channing in the revival of Hello, Dolly!, Disney's The Lion King and the2008 revival of A Chorus Line.

In 1992, DCA expanded programming to include cabaret productions at The Garner Galleria Theatre. The first production mounted was the successful run of Forever Plaid, followed by productions of Forbidden Broadway, The World Goes' Round, Swingtime Canteen, Always…Patsy Cline, Denver's longest-running musical, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, The Second City's Red Scare and How I Lost My Denverginity, The Taffetas, The Last Five Years and Girls Only: The Secret Comedy of Women. In recent years DCA has produced original musicals on the main stage including I Love a Piano, Dorian and Heaven Help Us.
