Colin Alexander, John Arp & More to Lead Arvada Center's THE MOUSETRAP

Arvada Center Artistic Producer Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap directed by Pat Payne, will run in the intimate Black Box Theater January 28 - February 23, 2014. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Due to popular demand three 1:00 p.m. matinees have been added on Thursdays, February 6, 13 and 20. Talkbacks will be offered Friday, February 7 after the 7:30 p.m. performance, Wednesday, February 12 after the 1:00 p.m. performance and Thursday, February 20 following the 1:00 p.m. performance. The cast features actors who are familiar to Arvada Center audiences including Colin Alexander (Curtains); John Arp (Around the World in 80 Days); Devon James (Dividing the Estate); Thadd Krueger (Curtains); Josh Robinson (Twelfth Night); Megan Van de Hey (A Christmas Carol, The Musical, Camelot) and Graham Ward (Around the World in 80 Days). They are joined by Kathleen Brady (a multi-season veteran of Denver Center Theatre Company) who is making her Arvada Center debut in the role of Mrs. Boyle.

In addition to director Pat Payne, the creative team includes Brian Mallgrave (scenic design), Chris Campbell (costume design), Jon Olson (light design), Morgan McCauley (sound design), Meghan Markiewicz (props mistress) and Lisa Rokicki (hair and make-up design).

The Mousetrap is the longest running play on London's West End having recently celebrated its 61st year of continuous performance. The mystery unfolds when a group of strangers is stranded at a remote country inn during a snowstorm. Murder is committed, and everyone is a suspect as the crime is investigated and secrets are revealed. Full of plot twists and surprises, audiences will be kept guessing who the culprit is until the final curtain. Don't miss this classic whodunit written by the greatest mystery writer of all time.
