Irish playwright Martin McDonagh combines the satire of Monty Python, the shock and horror of a Quentin Tarantino project, and the fright of Irish terrorism into one and the result is the 2006 Tony Award nominee, The Lieutenant of Inishmore. This gleefully gruesome comedy begins with the "tragic" death of a cat whose owner, "Mad" Padraic, vows not to rest until every townsperson feels as bad as he does.
