I wanted to take a moment and thank you for making our theatre company MBS Productions one of the most critically acclaimed companies in the North Texas area.

I founded the company 10 years ago with the unique mission of presenting World Premiers. We are half way through our 10th season and I feel very grateful for people like you who have supported us.

We really couldn't do this without you. Will you help us?

We are doing our annual spring fund raising campaign. Our goal is to raise $2000 by May 11th. One of our patrons has agreed to match dollar for dollar every contribution up to the $2000 as long as we reach our goal by May 11th. In other words, for every $1 you donate it becomes $2! We want to thank Maria Luisa Gonzalez for her generosity, and to those of you who have already contributed.

All you have to do is go to http://www.mbsproductions.net/donations.html and select your level of donation. Or you may call us at 214-477-4942 and we'll take your donation over the phone.

As an incentive:

By donating $50 you will receive one free ticket to our upcoming play "John XII" which opens May 29th and runs through June 29th, 2014.

Donate $100 or more and you will receive 2 free tickets to "John XII."

You do not have to donate at these levels; any donation level is appreciated.

Once we receive your donation we will contact you to inquire as to which show you would like to come see, or you can contact us at 214-477-4942 or at info@mark-briansonna.com and let us know.

If you simply want to purchase tickets "John XII." Go to: http://www.mbsproductions.net/. The tickets for John XII will be available on line after April 28th.

All donations in excess of $10 will get you listed in the program.

Besides making it as a company for 10 years, these last 6 months we have reached a series of exceptional milestones:

+ Our production of "Dante: Inferno" was named as the Best Play of the year by the Reader's Voice Awards. This award was voted on by the readership of the Dallas Voice. And Mark-Brian Sonna was voted as the Best Actor of the Year (Male or Female) by the RVA's too!

+ "Dante: Inferno" was named as the Best Experimental Play of the year by Broadwayworld.com!

+ Our Burlesque Nutcracker show was nominated for the third year in a row for National "Nutty" Award for being one of the most beloved Nutcrackers in the USA!

+ Our play "The Soul Gatherer" which premiered at our theatre is now a film and is hitting the film festival circuit. It just played at the NorCalFilmFest and won the "Audience Favorite" Award. It will also screen as part of the Interurban Film Festival on May 17th in Sherman, Texas.

+ We received a record 4 Column nominations this year. "The Futility of Hope" was nominated for best new original play, Sofia Villamil who also starred in "The Futility of Hope" was nominated Child Performer Award, Larry E. Groseclose was nominated for his costume design in "Forever Lovely", and Richard S. Blake for his lighting design in "Forever Lovely."

MBS Productions is a cooperative venture in which all actors, designers, and artists are remunerated for their efforts, making us one of the more unique theatres in the area. As each show turns a profit, the performers and contributing artists are directly compensated for their efforts. Believe me, when I say that their compensation is minimal. They do it for the love of the art form, and we love them for it! It gives us much pleasure to able to compensate them, meagerly as it is, for their efforts. So even though we aren't a non-profit, your contribution directly benefits these artists and keeps the theatre a viable place for them to express their art form, and to bring to you the great theatre you expect.

Thanks, again, for being a person who supports the arts, and our company. We really couldn't do it without you!

Please help us to continue being a "true pioneer of theatre." - Shelley Kaehr, The Column.

Genuinely yours,

Mark-Brian Sonna
