Segerstrom Center for the Arts announces free lobby activities for all 16 performances of PIPPIN in Orange County from November 11 - 23, 2014, available to all ticketholders starting one hour prior to show time and during intermission.

Audiences will notice the return of the writing prompt display on the Orchestra Level lobby. This time, patrons are posed the question, "What makes you extraordinary?" - alluding to one of the show's musical numbers and the title character's desire to be extraordinary.

Patrons can delve deeper into the origins of PIPPIN as a stage production. Audience members will read about the structure of PIPPIN as a play within a play and discover more about the central characters and their roles in the musical. They will also learn about the original 1972 Broadway production of PIPPIN, find out what makes this revival so unique and explore dance icon Bob Fosse's influence on its choreography.

Moving up to the Orchestra Terrace Level lobby, guests will be treated as royalty for a photo opportunity when they ascend to King Charlemagne's throne, complete with a jeweled crown and regal backdrop. Patrons are encouraged to use #SCFTA and #PippinTour when posting on social media sites.

PIPPIN is back on Broadway for the first time since it thrilled audiences 40 years ago. With a beloved score by Tony Award nominee Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked), PIPPIN tells the story of a young prince on a death-defying journey to find meaning in his existence. It features sizzling choreography by Tony Award nominee Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation of breathtaking acrobatics by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers), the creative force behind the nationwide sensation Traces.
