The mystery thriller MURDER AMONG FRIENDS by Bob Barry makes its debut at Town Players' Little Theatre on Friday, April 15.

Palmer Forrester - a vain but aging Broadway actor, his wealthy socialite wife Angela, and his two-faced agent Ted Cotton are spending New Year's Eve in an elegant Grammercy Park duplex - yet it's not all champagne, party hats and Dick Clark. Angela and Ted are lovers, who plan to murder Palmer during a staged robbery that night, leaving them free to marry. However, Palmer and Ted are also lovers, with a duplicate plan to do in Angela. A murder does occur - but not one of the planned ones!

The New York Times calls MURDER AMONG FRIENDS, "Clever, amusing, and very surprising." It saw its Broadway debut in 1975, with an all-star cast that included Jack Cassidy as Palmer Forrester and Janet Leigh as Angela Forrester.

Directed by Terry Polvay of Sandy Hook, MURDER AMONG FRIENDS features the talents of Tony Benedetti of Beacon Falls, Linda Gilmore of Norwalk, Michele Leigh of Brookfield, Rob Pawlikowski of Roxbury, Mark Rubino of Bethel, and Dennis Walsh of Woodbury. The production crew includes producer Brian DeToma of Danbury, stage managers Chris Cooney and Linda Dohanos - both of Monroe, set designer Timothy Huebenthal of Southbury, and lighting designer Nick Kaye of Bethel.

MURDER AMONG FRIENDS runs April 15 - May 7. Curtain times are 8 PM Fridays and Saturdays, with 2 PM Sunday matinees on April 24 & May 1. Tickets are $22; $18 for matinee performances, as well as opening weekend performances on April 15 & 16.
