Darlene Love, Alasdair Macrae and Loreli Chang are the featured guests on this week's (March 18) State of the ARTS on WPKN-FM (89.5), heard LIVE every Friday from 12noon to 1pm on WPKN-FM (89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Co-hosts of the weekly arts & entertainment show are Richard Pheneger and Peggy Nelson.

Darlene Love, hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as "one of the greatest singers of all time," has been captivating audiences worldwide for decades with her warmth, grace and electrifying performances. She'll take the stage of the Brooklyn (NY) Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 12 at 8pm.

Alasdair Macrae is a member of the cast of the National Theatre of Scotland's production of The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, which is playing a limited engagement as part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas from March 31 through April 3. Performances will take place at (GPSCY), the Graduate and Professional Student Club at Yale University, located at 204 York Street in New Haven, Connecticut.

Lorelei Chang, Artistic Director of dancEnlight, and her company will present the world premiere of Empty Space for two performances (March 19 & 20) at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut.

State of the ARTS, featuring arts and entertainment personalities, airs LIVE each Friday from 12noon-1pm on WPKN-FM located at 89.5 and streams worldwide online at wpkn.org
