Beck Center Youth Theater continues their 2016-2017 season with the world premiere production of AARGH! December 9-11 and 16-18, 2016 in the Studio Theater. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. A student matinee will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 15. Tickets are on sale now. Seating in the Studio Theater is limited and tickets for Youth Theater holiday shows sell quickly.

Rachel Spence, Beck Center's Associate Director of Outreach Education and Theater Education instructor, is back with another hilarious original play this holiday season. Known for her previous comedies including Hillbilly Holiday and Once Upon a Decade, this talented local playwright and director now brings us AARGH! Set on the high seas, this all-new production takes a look at the sillier side of a pirate's life. Featuring 25 Beck Center students ages 6-12, AARGH! promises to be a boatload of fun. "It is an honor and a joy to work with these young actors," remarked Spence. "They are not just talented, but very funny too."

The 2016-2017 season also includes CARRIE the musical, presented by Beck Center Teen Theater, March 24-April 2, 2017, and Schoolhouse Rock Live!, May 12-21, 2017. Tickets are $12 for Adults/Seniors and $10 for Children (18 and under), and may be purchased online at beckcenter.org or by calling 216.521.2540 x10. Discounted group rates are available and can be scheduled by calling Customer Service Manager Rennie Tisdale at 216.521.2450 x28.

Beck Center is located at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. Free onsite parking is available. The 2016-2017 Youth Theater season is presented by the Mort and Iris November Philanthropy Fund, and is made possible by the support of Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and the Ohio Arts Council.

Beck Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that offers professional Theater Productions on two stages, arts education programming in dance, music, theater, visual arts, early childhood, and creative arts therapies for individuals with special needs, outreach education programming, and gallery exhibits featuring local, regional, and International Artists.
