Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue - is thrilled to present the sexy new musical revue I LEFT MY HEART: A SALUTE TO THE MUSIC OF Tony Bennett, from January 27 through March 5, 2017. I LEFT MY HEART will take audiences on a romantic journey down memory lane. Three superb singers will perform Bennett's best work in an intimate musical experience. The production will be led by Jeff-Award winner Kevin Bellie (Director, Choreographer) and Linda Madonia (Musical Director).

Called "the greatest singer in the world" by Frank Sinatra, the always charming, classy and debonair Tony Bennett crooned his way into the heart of America. I LEFT MY HEART features four decades of music that Bennett recorded, including his early top 40 hits, jazz recordings with Basie, Stan Getz, and Bill Evans, torch songs, film scores, and his now famous MTV Unplugged performance, which introduced him to a whole new generation of listeners. Sprinkled through with biographic tidbits and anecdotes, the revue sports a thrilling score of 33 Bennett standards including "Rags to Riches," "Put On a Happy Face," "The Good Life," "The Best Is Yet to Come" and, of course, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."

I LEFT MY HEART was created by David Grapes and Todd Olson with Musical Arrangements by Vince di Mura. Three singers will pay tribute to Tony Bennett rather than impersonating the legend: Jim DeSelm, Robert Hunt, and Evan Tyrone Martin. A 4-piece jazz band will back them up: Ryan Hobbs (Trumpet), Dan Kristin (Bass), Linda Madonia (Piano), and Lindsay Williams (Percussion). The costume design is by Rachel Boylan, lighting design by Julie Mack and sound design by Carl Wahlstrom.
The beautifully renovated Mercury Theater Chicago is an intimate jewel box of a theater in the heart of the Southport Corridor, a sophisticated neighborhood of restaurants and boutiques just steps from Wrigley Field. A delightful theater destination, Mercury Theater Chicago takes care of its guests from the moment they arrive with valet service and dining at its adjoining restaurant, Grassroots.

The performance schedule for I LEFT MY HEART is Wednesdays at 8pm, Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 3pm and 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. There will be a special Valentine's Day performance on Tuesday, February 14th at 8:00pm.
Individual tickets range from $30-$65, and are available online at www.MercuryTheaterChicago.com, over the phone at 773.325.1700, or in person at 3745 N. Southport Avenue, Chicago.
