Christopher Titus takes the audience on a wild ride when the Born With a Defect Tour comes to Raue Center at 8 p.m. on May 5, 2017. The stand-up comedian will leave the audience clutching their sides with laughter as he tackles his toughest subject to date: kids.

"Born With a Defect" takes the audiences on a wild ride through Titus' personal life, proves why he isn't qualified to be a father and why childless couples win. In 90 minutes, Titus deconstructs the love of children and proves they really don't care about us at all, gives parenting advice and tells stories that would make a child therapist get a restraining order.

From Titus' reasoning as to why owning a Lamborghini is better than having a child to his other beloved dysfunctional anecdotes, "Born With a Defect" includes some of Titus' most surprising material to date. As he says in the show, "if you are a parent this show is therapy. If you don't have kids, it's 90 minutes of birth control."

Employing what he has labeled "hard funny," Titus has released six 90-minute albums and has five one-hour comedy specials currently running on Comedy Central. His sixth special, "Angry Pursuit of Happiness," is set to premiere on May 9, 2017. He is also known for the dark comedy "Titus," which earned him an Emmy nomination and a Writers Guild nomination.

"We have been trying to line up a show with [Titus] at Raue Center for about seven years," says Executive Director Richard Kuranda. "I'm excited that things have finally worked out! As a dad, husband and brother, I can thoroughly relate to his comedy - he's awesome."

Tickets start at $33 and may be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
