Harrisburg Shakespeare Company will kick off its 2013-2014 Mainstage Season with William Shakespeare's CORIOLANUS which will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from November 2-24 at Gamut Classic Theatre, located on the Third Floor of Strawberry Square, Downtown Harrisburg.

Shakespeare's final tragedy is also considered one of his greatest. This powerful political drama tells the story of the great Roman general whose arrogance leads to his own downfall. One of Shakespeare's most provocative plays, CORIOLANUS is a mesmerizing tale that unfolds as both personal tragedy and political thriller. From exalted war hero - to heavy handed politician to finally, exile - Coriolanus is manipulated by his power hungry mother Volumnia and his unwillingness to compromise his principles as his world spirals out of control in his crusade for vengeance.

Gamut Theatre Group is led by Artistic Director Clark Nicholson and Executive Director Melissa Nicholson.

CORIOLANUS will be presented at Gamut Classic Theatre in Strawberry Square from November 2 through 24 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and on Sundays at 2:30pm. Tickets are $27 for adults and $17 for students/seniors.

Private performances are available for school groups on November 5, 12, and 19 at 9:30 a.m. Tickets for Student Matinees are $12 each.

Friday performances: Buy One Ticket, Get One free; Saturday performances: One admission is free with purchase of a regular-priced admission and donation of a bottle of wine for HSC's annual Shakespeare's Birthday celebration; Sunday performances: Bring Your Own Price, where any size donation buys your admission.
