The Kavinoky Theatre, a professional theatre on the campus of D'Youville College, continues its 37th season with the production of GROUNDED by George Brant.

Director Kristen Tripp Kelley directs Aleks Malejs in this one woman story of a hot-rod F16 fighter pilot who is grounded and re-trained to fly remote controlled drones in the middle-east from an air conditioned trailer in Las Vegas. A tale of hunting terrorists by day while being a working mother and wife by night, GROUNDED tells of the emotional and psychological toll this new warfare can extract from very human soldiers.

This production will be unlike anything audiences have experienced at the Kavinoky. With a multi-media set by David King and Brian Milbrand which includes projections and live video, to original music by legendary Buffalo musician David Kane, GROUNDED will stay with audiences long after they've left the Theatre.

Performances for this three-week limited engagement (January 6th - January 22nd) will take place on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 3:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. The gala opening night performance will be held on Friday, January 6th at 7:30 p.m. and includes a catered wine reception with the cast following the performance. Tickets are $42.00, with discounts available to seniors, students, military, and groups. For tickets, call (716) 829-7668 or visit kavinokytheatre.com.
