Master storyteller Jonathan Kruk will offer dramatic performances of Dickens's 'Christmas Carol' on December weekends at the historic Christ Episcopal Church in Tarrytown, where Washington Irving served as a vestryman. Complete with musical accompaniment, Kruk brings to life the classic Charles Dickens story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

Performances take place on Saturday and Sunday Dec. 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20, at 3:30, 4:45, and 6pm (Dec. 20 at 6 and 7:15 only). The performances take place for the first time at the 1837 red brick Christ Episcopal Church, 43 South Broadway (Route 9), Tarrytown, which still has Washington Irving's pew on display for visitors to see.

This classic holiday event follows up on 42 sold-out performances featuring Jonathan Kruk during Historic Hudson Valley's Irving's 'Legend' in October.

Capacity is very limited for Dickens's 'Christmas Carol' and tickets should be purchased in advance at www.hudsonvalley.org or by calling 914-366-6900. Ticket prices are $25 for adults and $20 for children under 18. Historic Hudson Valley recommends the event for ages 10 and up. Members of Historic Hudson Valley receive a $5 per ticket discount.

Historic Hudson Valley is a private, non-profit education and preservation organization that owns and operates historic sites including Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow and Washington Irving's Sunnyside in Tarrytown. It educates more than 20,000 schoolchildren each year and welcomes more than 250,000 visitors annually to its sites and special events.
