Respected by many as one of the great voices of her generation, Sasha Allen brings a dynamic showcase to Joe's Pub with special guest Rob Lewis. Sasha Allen is an American singer and actress with a career in the entertainment industry that spans over 10 years. Allen has made a career as a backing vocalist for the music industry's biggest stars, including Grammy Award winners Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Babyface, Usher, John Legend, and pop star Leona Lewis. Sasha played Dionne in the Tony Award winning revival of the hit Broadway show Hair: The American Tribal Love Rock Musical at the Al Hirschfield Theatre in New York City, and continued with the original American cast to the Gielgud Theatre on the West End in London.

Over the next two years a bedazzled creature builds a community by singing 24 concerts of the last 24 decades of popular music. Ultimately all 24 decades will be stitched together culminating in a 24-hour long extravaganza. Before then, join Taylor Mac and band as they use the popular songs from the 1810's and 1830's, the decades when American Christmas music started to become popular. Alongside the songs and tomfoolery expect Charles Dickens, opium and a new Texas Revolution. Taylor Mac is also part of The Public Theater's 2013 Under The Radar festival.

Bridget Everett is a singing tour de force known for her funny yet gut-wrenching, outrageous and unpredictable performance work. She's been dubbed "Wynona Judd meets Melissa Etheridge, via the local bar floozy, on a rocket ship out of Twin Peaks" by Michael Musto from the Village Voice. She has appeared frequently on Time Out New York's annual list of top cabaret performers, ranking number one in 2010 on a list which included Alan Cumming and Elaine Stritch. Bridget co-hosts Our Hit Parade, a sold-out monthly revue of current pop hits, with Kenny Mellman (Kiki and Herb) and Neal Medlyn at Joe's Pub. She starred in the original musical At Least It's Pink based on her life which she co-wrote with director Michael Patrick King (writer/director of hit tv series Sex and the City) and Mellman which played Ars Nova for 12 weeks. Bridget has performed at Montreal's Just for Laughs, New York Comedy Festival, HBO's Aspen United States Comedy Arts Festival . and the Adelaide International Cabaret Festival in Adelaide, Australia. She played Lynn Chenney in Taylor Mac's Red Tide Blooming at P.S.122, was featured in Scott Wittman's production JUKEBOX JACKIE, and was a regular on Logo's Jeffrey Cole Casserole. She can be seen as Cathy in the Sex and the City movie and as Shonda in the CBS hit comedy, 2 Broke Girls. Bridget co-wrote and performed an evening of original music called Bridget and Neal are F*cking and Adam is Watching with Medlyn and Adam Horovitz (Adrock: Beastie Boys). Bridget can be seen in HBO Canada's Funny as Hell alongside Horovitz. and will be releasing an album of original music with her band, The Tender Moments, this fall.

Amy Lynn & The Gunshow and Tituss Burgess join forces for the APAP Conference, sharing the stage at Joe's Pub on Tuesday, January 15th at 7:00pm. Tituss Burgess is best known for his recurring role on the hit NBC series "30 Rock". He has originated memorable roles in the original Broadway casts of Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid, and the revival of Guys and Dolls, as well as headlined at major symphonies and top cabaret venues throughout the world. The Gunshow, a 9-piece band, lead by lovebirds Amy & Alex, has a 60's pop and soul sound marked by powerhouse singers and infectious horn licks as especially fertile ground on which to showcase their combined talents. Ute Lemper's newest creation is a song cycle to the love poems of Pablo Neruda. This very delicate and beautiful songbook is presented mainly in Spanish, but also has adaptations in French and English. It is a fantastic celebration of this especially sensual poetry by Neruda who had written these poems on the Chilean ISLA NEGRA after years of exile. Neruda had escaped from Chile to Argentina and Europe because of his anti-fascist political and artistic activities and writings. His main poetic creations were written during exile. He collaborated with Picasso on highly political inspired works and received several world peace awards by socialist countries. The love poems are dedicated to his wife Mathilda.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN NYC: SECOND EDITION

For generations, musical theatre writers have come to New York City to change the world. The concert series Once Upon A Time In New York City is about the people who have changed THEM. This second concert will feature musical theatre writers who are ages 18 to 80, who were born in Kansas City or San Francisco or London, who are established and who are emerging, each writing a brand new song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City.
