Comics Mike Brown (Comedy Outliers) and Ayanna Dookie (She Devil Comedy Festival winner)continue "King Hippo" their free, weekly Thursday night comedy showcase and afterparty at The Mockingbird (25 Avenue B)in Manhattan's East Village. Mike and Ayanna - who have performed at venues nationally and throughout the tri-state area - will be joined at this show by Peggy O'Leary (Bridgetown) Noah Gardenschwartz (Comedy Central) Courtney Fearrington (TimeOut NY) Mehran Keghani (NBC) with music by DJ Mamoudou N'diaye.

"We want to create a great, free stand-up show on Thursday nights in the city that has hilarious comedians and an amazing after party," says Brown who also serves as the show's co-producer. " A place where established headliners and up-and-comers can come do a show, comedians can come hang, and New Yorkers can laugh and dance and have a great night," he added.

No cover, no minimum, ages 21 and over with ID. Full bar and Tex-Mex menu available. The Mockingbird is located beneath Avenida Cantina(btw 2nd & 3rd Streets) on Avenue B in New York. Subway: "J," "M," or "Z" to Essex Street or the "F" to Second Avenue. Performers subject to change.
