Hyperlink, a song cycle written by Sarah Fiete, will be presented at The Metropolitan Room for one night only on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 9:30 pm. Hyperlink is a new song cycle made of humor, heartbreak, and hashtags that explores how the internet refracts our basic human emotions. Running about an hour long, Hyperlink uses three actors to tell a variety of Digital-Age-based stories.

Directed by Ben Liebert and music directed by Jacob Shapiro, with additional instruments by Alex Fiete, Hyperlink will feature Amy Jo Jackson, Cornelius Davis, and Brooke Shapiro. Rachel Kunstadt produces.

Tickets for Hyperlink are $15 and can be purchased at www.metropolitanroom.com. There is a two-drink minimum.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street in Manhattan.

Sarah Fiete is a writer based out of New York City. A born and raised Midwesterner, she grew up in Dublin, Ohio, and attended Denison University in nearby Granville. She went on to receive an MFA for NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in their Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. In 2015, her original short musical "Anymore" (music by Edison Hong) premiered at the Times Square Arts Center and was a semi-finalist in the New York New Works Theatre Festival. In June 2016, Common Man Musicals presented her piece "The Silver Water Avenue Book Club" (music by Jonathan Fadner) at the Main Street Theatre. Her work has also been performed in other New York City venues such as 54 Below and Dixon Place.
