Feinstein's/54 Below is pleased to present the short-lived musical Henry, Sweet Henry in concert for one performance only. The June 14th, 7:00pm concert will celebrate Bob Merrill's tuneful score and Nora Johnson's beloved novel, with appearances by members of the original Broadway company, and some of Broadway's brightest teenage performers. Full casting will be announced shortly.

Henry, Sweet Henry was produced on Broadway in 1967, featuring a book by Nunnally Johnson and music and lyrics by five-time Tony Award nominee Bob Merrill. The show, based on the novel and film The World of Henry Orient, has since become a cult favorite. Come learn why audiences who know this musical love it, and hear this dynamite Bob Merrill score performed by newcomers, surprise guests, and original company members alike! Follow Val and Gil, two smitten teens, as they chase famed composer Henry Orient up and down Manhattan and unwittingly expose his numerous affairs in this concert presentation of the charming and rarely-seen musical Henry, Sweet Henry.

Henry, Sweet Henry is presented as part of the Second Act Series, produced by Steven Carl McCasland and James Horan. Each evening revisits a short-lived musical, highlighting its neglected score and inviting audiences to rediscover a forgotten gem. Previous evenings include: Onward Victoria, Charlie and Algernon and Eating Raoul.
